Aghadadashi V | Mechanical Engineering Award | Best Researcher Award
Dr Aghadadashi V Iranian national Institute for Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, IranΒ
He recently completed a postdoctoral course focusing on the burden of microplastics and plasticizers in surface sediments across the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. During the course, he participated in an expedition to these areas, organized by the Iranian National Institute for Oceanography and Atmospheric Science. The experience equipped him with valuable skills in research planning, plasticizer analysis, and microplastic surveys in water and sediments. Additionally, he investigated the inventory and source of blue carbon in specific mangrove ecosystems along the Persian Gulf coast using stable isotopes and profiles of normal alkanes.
Education:
He pursued his academic journey with a strong focus on environmental science and marine pollution. Starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources, Fisheries, and Environment Science from the University of Tehran, he then proceeded to obtain a Master of Science in Environment Science from Tarbiat Modares University. His passion for marine pollution led him to pursue a Ph.D. at the Iranian National Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, where he specialized in environmental pollution, particularly marine pollution. Following his Ph.D., he continued his research journey as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institute, delving deeper into marine pollution issues. Throughout his academic and research career, he has demonstrated a commitment to understanding and addressing environmental challenges, particularly those related to marine ecosystems.

Honors and Awards:
He achieved notable success in academic examinations, securing 11th place in the national master’s exam in 2017 and ranking 3rd in the nationwide doctoral exam of 2013. These achievements reflect his exceptional academic aptitude and dedication to his field of study.
