Mr. Sagni B. Miressa is a highly motivated Ph.D. candidate in Agricultural Mechanization at Nanjing Agricultural University, China (expected 2027), with extensive expertise in sustainable agriculture, agricultural machinery design, straw incorporation, and bioenergy production. He earned his M.Sc. in Agricultural Mechanization from Adama Science and Technology University, Ethiopia (2018) and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering from Ambo University, Ethiopia (2016). His professional experience encompasses the design, development, and optimization of prototype machinery for rice–wheat rotation systems, including 36 novel technical models for straw return, as well as bioethanol production from agricultural waste. Sagni has led and contributed to multiple research projects, including international collaborations, and has presented his findings at workshops on sustainable agricultural engineering and bioenergy applications. His research interests focus on optimizing tillage practices, improving mechanized straw management, enhancing agricultural productivity, and developing renewable bioenergy solutions. He possesses strong research skills in experimental design, modeling, field testing, and data analysis using tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANOVA, and programming in C++ and Java. His work has been published in high-impact journals such as Agronomy and Agriculture, with multiple first-author publications demonstrating his scholarly impact. Sagni has actively participated in professional development through certifications and workshops, including tractor operation and maintenance training by GIZ, and engagement in academic and volunteer initiatives that support agricultural engineering communities. His awards and honors reflect his innovation, technical expertise, and dedication to advancing sustainable agriculture.
